Drawing- Story telling

For this drawing class we combined everything that we learned about texture, pattern, contour line, and value to create a drawing that told a story.

We used the cover of the book "How Neddie Took the Train, Went To Hollywood, And Saved Civilization" as our inspiration. Each section of Neddie's shell portrays a part of the adventure.
Each student chose and animal and drew a contour drawing of it. Then they divided the animal into sections and told part of their story in each section. Patterns and textures were added to any remaining spaces to add interest.
My favorite part is always hearing the stories told by the artist to the rest of the class!
