Classes for students 12 -18 years old!
Famous Artists 201
Fridays from 10-11:00 am for six weeks
February 28 - April 11 (there will be no class on Friday March 28)
Fees - $55 per student (supplies are included)
This class is designed for middle and high school students. We will study the art work and lives of Georgia O'Keeffe, Pablo Picasso, and Paul Klee. Students will create a work of art inspired by each of these artists using various media while learning elements and principles of design. Students will also participate in class critiques of each others' work.
Painting with Paper - Collage Art
Fridays from 10-11:00 am for six weeks
April 18- May 23
Fees - $55 per student (supplies are included)
This class is designed for middle and high school students. We will study the art work and lives of Megan Coyle and Steve Jenkins. Students will work collaboratively to create unique papers to be used by the class to create original collage art work inspired by these artists. We will also learn about narrative collage and create an art piece that tells a story. Students will participate in class critiques of each others' work.

Tuesdays from 10-11:00 am for 4 weeks

Thursdays from 10-11:00 am for 4 weeks
February 27- March 20
Fees - $36 per student (supplies included)
We will study the art work of Georgia O'Keeffe, specifically her flower abstractions, and create our own abstract painting. We will also study cubism and create a still life drawing using several perspectives.
Collage Art (A)
Tuesdays from 10-11:00 am for 4 weeks
April 1- April 22
Fees - $36 per student (supplies included)
Collage Art (B)
Thursdays from 10-11:00 am for 4 weeks
April 3 - April 24
Fees -$36 per student (supplies included)
We will create our own papers and use magazines to make beautiful collage art inspired by artists Megan Coyle and Steve Jenkins.
Art Journaling 101-A
Tuesdays from 10:00 am for 4 weeks
April 29 - May 20
Fees - $36 per student (supplies included)
Art Journaling 101-B
Thursdays from 10-11:00 am for 4 weeks
May 1-May 22
Fees - $36 per student (supplies included)
We will create a simple book and begin work on a series of art journal pages to fill it. This class will involve various techniques and media as well as some writing. This is a great class to take just before summer begins as students can continue to add to their art journals all summer long on their own!
